Frits Gerritsen Photo Archive

UI/UX Design - Development

The customer

Frits Gerritsen Fotoarchief is the extensive archive of Amsterdam based photographer Frits Gerritsen (1925-2011). Gerritsen took more than 100,000 photographs in the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. The photographer is particularly proud of his aerial photography, panoramas and travel photos taken in Africa. On the website you can enjoy his beautiful images.

The process

In cooperation with Frits Gerritsen’s son, René Gerritsen, we designed an archive website, where the photographer’s work can be beautifully displayed. In addition to viewing photos, it is now possible to request a quote for using photos in publications. The brand identity is designed to reinforce the impact of Gerritsen’s work.
